BINA KALINDI (EAST)
All of 14, Bina Kalindi is standing up to tradition, taking on child marriage. In her village near Purulia in West Bengal, every girl was married off by the age of 12. Bina Kalindi saw her sister suffer two miscarriages. She decided she won't let young girls of her village face the same fate. So Bina now goes door to door, educating parents and when they don't listen, she calls in the police. Supported by the National Child Labor Project, a UNICEF-funded organization, Bina plans to take her battle across the state.

FAITH GONSALVES (NORTH)
Just 23, Faith Gonsalves is bringing music to the street children of Delhi. Her charity Music Basti, set up in 2008, trains street children to sing and play musical instruments across three centres. Music Basti reaches out to children who have a history of trauma and delinquency and music provides the healing touch. They also get to showcase their talent at music events across the city.

Rajesh Bhat is just 27. Five years ago he decided to walk away from a well paying job in a multinational company in Bangalore to start Head Held High Foundation along with another techie Sunil Savara. The aim of the foundation is to train illiterate, poor villagers in 8 months to be BPO employees who can function in any MNC across India. Functioning out of Koppal, the most backward district in Karnataka, Head Held High has trained 113 young people so far.

NILESH GAONKAR (WEST)
Just 24 years old, Nilesh Gaonkar took on the mining mafia near his village Carem in Goa. In just one year five mining companies had destroyed the natural nallahs, the only source of drinking water for over 1500 villagers. Nilesh gathered evidence and knocked on the doors of Goa's courts. He rallied the villagers and blocked the roads for over 30 days. He was tempted, threatened and beaten, but Neelesh managed to get a stay order on one of the mines.
