ABOUT THE AWARD
Real Heroes in partnership with Reliance Foundation is a path breaking editorial initiative from Network18. The award recognises and acknowledges ordinary Indians who are making a difference to people's lives. In its 5th edition, this annual felicitation will honour 24 unknown and unsung heroes of India. The efforts of these 24 Real Heroes from across the country in fields as diverse as Women's Empowerment, Environment, Youth, Social Welfare, Health & Disability, Education & Children and Sports have indubitably contributed to the betterment of their immediate community.
Selection Process
This initiative adheres to a stringent process of selection:
  • The IBN18 Editorial Board drawn from the editorial masterminds of CNN-IBN research, deliberate and then finalize the 24 winners keeping in mind their contribution to the society in their respective fields.
